Online Safety at Coety Primary School

Online safety is an important part of keeping children safe at Coety Primary School. We use the 360 Safe Cymru tool to track and audit our online safety effectiveness. 

We are developing a range of measures, which are monitored both internally and externally, to help safeguard pupils from harmful online content and unsuitable material. Any online safety incidents are recorded and managed. Online safety is taught to pupils in all year groups (Nursery - Year 6) explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online. As a whole school initiative we use Project Evolve lessons that can been seen here. To supplement this we also use the iLearn2 online safety resources that can be viewed here.

Governors have a safeguarding role regarding online safety at Coety Primary School. 

Governors have a role in reviewing our online safety policy and taking part in up to date online safety training.
